twins 1 month update

The twins turned 1 month on April 27.

Highlights of the twins first month outside the womb:
1. Their first outing was to the Pediatrician on April 3 at 1 week old.   They went once a week for weight checks.
2. We went to the Collins home to do your newborn photo shoot on April 11 when they were 16 days old.
3. They went to Mom-mom and Pop-pops (Deminski's) for the first time on Easter 4/20.
4. They went to their first BBQ on 4/26 at our friend R.J.'s house.
5.  They've had several visitors to the house to bring meals and see you.

Kyle...aka K-town

You are looking at Tyler and us more.  You use your hand to hold your pacifier in your mouth sometimes.  You make a lot of noises and grunts.  You wiggle your arms and legs a lot.  You are holding your head up pretty well when being burped or on tummy.  You have an angry cry!  Mom and Dad can tell whose cry is whose.  You weighed 7 lbs at your 1 month appt.  Your eyes are alert and bright.  We love you so much!

Tyler...aka T-dogg

You are looking at Kyle and us more and more.  You use your hand to hold your pacifier in sometimes.  You make this concerned face where your eyes get real big and your forehead gets wrinkle lines or you furrow your eyebrows.  Your mouth is little and cute.  At your 1 mo. NICU follow-up appt. you were acting just like a 1 month old should.  We weren't concerned!  You are mostly calm and peaceful.  You like to cuddle.  You wimper before you full out cry.  A hard cry includes a quivering sound that is so sad!  At a month, you weighed 6 lbs, 2oz.  You are my little one, my love!

Mommy is exclusively breastfeeding you both.  It is hard work and exhausting since you need fed every 2-3 hours.  I don't have time or energy to pump milk in between so no one can help bottle feed you.  It's been so helpful having meals brought to us because I am starving from feeding you guys!  You nap on and off during the day but not enough to give me much of a break.  I can take a good nap if someone else is watching you.

You are my miracles and I am just overwhelmed with love for you.  I'd do anything for you!  You are wonderful, amazing babies!  We love having twins.  It's so much fun!  I look forward to you interacting with us more as you grow.
